custom doodle winners!

Better late than never, here are the winners for the custom doodle contest! I used the very high-tech method of printing out the comments and getting each of the children to pick one out of a hat! Well, it was bowl, not a hat, but you get the idea. And so without further ado, the winners are:

1. Eva with a request for Day of the Dead doodles (also requested by Patty)

2. Janice’s request for a set of quilting doodles (similar set also requested by Kyla)

Whoo-hoo! I’m really looking forward to working with you both and coming up some doodles for you :) Thank you to everyone who entered, there were some weird and wonderful suggestions (some that I had to google, I lead a sheltered life…lol) and many that I am sure I will revisit in the New Year.

***************

I quite often get customers and friends sending me pictures of the hybrid projects they’ve made with my doodles and it’s always such a great feeling to see my scribbles turned into something wonderful! My pal Mic went a step further with these though, just look at these cute little pencil toppers she and her friend created for her son’s birthday favours (based on my monster doodles):

And she was kind enough to send these three to me! They are made from  “cold porcelain“,  something I’ve never heard of but need to research now. DD picked the orange one, DS has the purple one and I am now the proud owner of my very own blue monster topped pencil :) I am sure I will have many happy doodling hours with my little monster pal, thank you Mic!

I finally plucked up the courage to set up my own Facebook page! If you are interested in becoming my fan (ha ha! that sounds so…..so….. big headed!) you can check out the page HERE.

Aren’t they GORGEOUS!!! I loved those monster pencils too!!! Mic has some really awesome ideas!!! Cold porcelain is something really common here in Brazil… we call it ‘biscuit’. I think you can do it at home ;)

Congrats to the winners. I love those pencil toppers! You might be able to use a polymer clay to make them.
