I found it!
I found it. The Staple that is. Yay! I will finally be able to sleep tonight. Well, actually, no I won’t because DS is still suffering with his teeth, but if he wasn’t I could, if you see what I mean.
I have finished Stage One of cataloguing all my scrap stuff. Get this: I have stuff from 121 different designers including 55 staples, 61 pieces of torn corrugated cardboard, 1768 sheets of paper, plus 13 GB of stuff to clear off my machine (and put onto disk because I’m pretty sure I will never use it but can’t make myself actually delete it) and I am a happy bunny because I can actually FIND things when I need them. I am using ACDSee Photomanager 9 to tag everything (30 day trial available, useful support forum devoted to how to use the software specifically to catalogue digi-scrapping supplies here: oscraps forum) and although it took a bit of getting used to, I think it’s going to be worth it’s weight in gold. Or staples. Or pieces of torn cardboard.
And I’ve redesigned the Digi-Dare blog too. We’ve moved it from blogger because it just kept driving us all mad – too many issues with uploading images for a blog designed to show errr well, lots of images. So, go here: www.thedigidares.com to see the new blog. And the new dare. And the new darer (great designer and scrapper that she is). But not my layout because I haven’t done it yet. I have been too busy writing css and php and searching for staples.
Here’s a layout I did a week or so ago for the TOTM at SSD:
It’s a lift of Keela’s lovely “Oh Wow!” layout here. It’s actually the third time I’ve scrapped these photos (which reminds me, one of the other versions is in Scrapbook Inspirations mag this month as part of the sketch challenge – whoo!!) and there’s something about all of them that I’m just not happy with, sigh. I think I might have to scrap ‘em again soon. And use my new found staple.
And speaking of which, I really need to get stuck into some serious scrapping – I have deadlines looming for loads of stuff so I must get my bum in gear and actually get it done instead of jiggling a baby with one arm and hunting for staples with the other whilst counting how many pieces of cardboard I have. Hhmm, I think I need to get out more you know.

Thanks for letting us know what you’re using to organise your digi elements, Katie.
I’m guessing ACDSee (cute name!) organises digi elements better than PSE does (which maybe only organises photos??)?
I hope your little baby boy feels better soon and you get a good night’s sleep.
love this LO kate
hugs
Umm, you aren’t gonna tell us who makes this perfect staple?? LOL
Man, I wish they made ACDSee for my Mac. I’m sure I have a treasure trove of old kits that I could rediscover with it. Sigh.
