long time, no blog

Wow, things have been crazy busy here in the run up to the end of term! And now that school has finished we are all full of germs and it hasn’t stopped raining :( Ugh, it’s so frustrating! Hopefully the germs will go soon and the long-lost sun will reappear and we can actually have a summer. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I haven’t had much computer time lately, but I do have a couple of layouts to share. Be warned, this first one I think may be the brightest most chaotic “I-need-sunglasses-to-look-at-this” page I have ever done (it seemed suitable for the theme!)  Click for credits:

I can’t believe my little girl has finished her first year at school, where does the time go? This is for the latest Hodge Podge challenge (using the prompt, “Today you….”) and goes with a first day at school page I recently made for a magazine assignment. It’s really interesting to put both pages side by side and to see the change in her over the course of the year. Gotta love scrapbooking :)

It was my birthday earlier in the month and look what I got! Utterly delicious it was too. Check out the Picnic Bugs HERE to see the cupcakes that the amazing Amanda made for Matthew’s preschool picnic, his little face just lit up when he saw the snail one (he has a bit of a thing for snails!) Thanks again to Amanda and her amazing cupcake creations!

    Well your carousel layout may be bright, but I think it looks fantastic. It really does convey that roundabout twirly feeling. The last time I went on a carousel was about 2 years ago. My stomach did NOT like the sensation, and I couldn’t wait for it to stop. I remember getting off thinking “Ugh…now when did I get so old that I don’t like carousels anymore!”. LOL!

    Months and months after I started the ABC book for Sarah, I finally finished it up and she is one happy little girl because she has her own book with all pictures of her in it.
