“like coco pops with milk” :)
I just wanted to say a quick thank you for your comments and emails and a special thank you to Michelle for the comment left on the previous post where she said that she pops in here because, “it gives me a colour-burst (kind of like coco pops with milk in the morning)”. That may possibly be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about this blog and it made me smile. Lots. So thank you Michelle, I will forever think of you as the colourful coco pops lady.
And now for the shameless self-promotion (come on, it’s Friday, you knew it was coming!) This week’s new release is a quick page album made from last week’s release, Funky Junky: Summer Lovin‘. All the pages in this album were made by me, Sylvie (Sausan Designs) and Michelle, and as usual it’s 20% off until Monday. I’m planning on using these to make up a little summer album for the kids, full of all the things we get up to during the summer holidays (only 4 more weeks of school left, I’m starting to get scared now how I’m going to occupy them all summer…lol)

I thought I’d share a few photos from the past week, starting with this mouthwatering treat:

yummmmmm this cake was a lovely thank you gift to hubby from DD’s Pre-School for fixing their computer and this photo was taken after it had been in our possession for all of ooohhh probably 20 minutes maybe? – I thought I had better snap it quickly before the hoardes demolished the rest of it. Normally if cake hasn’t got chocolate on it, in it and all over it, I’m not interested but I have to say that this was delicious, like summer on a plate. It has all gone now. Of course. I’m now busy wracking my brains for more things we can do to help the school out and earn us some more cake

We went to the Cheshire Show earlier this week too (and actually managed to time it perfectly with the weather, one 30 second shower and that was it). It was a lovely day out, Matthew is obsessed with animals and DD is obsessed with fun fairs so a good time was had by all (although hubby was mumbling about his wallet feeling lighter and lighter by the second…apparently carousel rides and train rides and trampoline bounces and ice creams and bouncy castles and giant inflatable slides then more carousel rides all add up rather quickly…. oops, oh well, at least stroking the animals was free)
Matthew meets a goat:

DD poses on the carousel:

I even have a new layout to share *insert smug grin here* ahhhh it’s good to scrap:

This is mainly using Gina Miller & Amanda Rockwell’s new Picnic in the Park kit – it’s a really fun kit and that fresh green wrinkled alpha is (a) one of my favourite colours and (b) especially gorgeous.

Ok, I have doodles to be doodled and two overly excited children to take to a birthday party today, but I shall return next week with said doodles and who knows? maybe even a layout or two….:)
Have a great weekend!
